David Greenwood of the STOP CHURCH CHILD ABUSE campaign, two lawyers from Germany and the US Centre for Constitutional Rights petitioned the International criminal court in 2011 to indict Ratzinger and others at the Vatican for knowingly failing to prevent priests from abusing children. Attempts by a Catholic diocese to evade responsibility for child sexual abuse carried out by one of it’s priests have failed.
